Why healthy foods?

We take extra care to understand the science of food to promote healthy living. Here's some of the methods and healthy ingredients we prefer to use …

Where others use… Lot’s of chemicals in cleaning

We prefer

To use commercial dishwashing cleaning powder that is environmentally friendly. all other cleaning products (kitchen, toilets, floors) are organic and/or bio-degradable and environmentally friendly.

Where others use… Refined sugar and GM-High Fructose Corn Syrup

We prefer

Organic coconut palm sugar, raw coconut nectar, stevia.

Where others use… Dairy or Cow’s Milk

We prefer

Local and organic milk, but also any kind of nut milk, soy, rice and oat milk.

Where others use… white rice

We prefer

to use finer quality rice such as brown long grain, and wild rice and red camarague.

We prefer

To recycle as much as possible. we recycle paper, bottles, boxes, flyers, anything that can be recycled. and our take-away packaging is all eco-friendly and made from recycled materials to begin with.

Where others use… Meat & Fish

We prefer

a wide variation of organic vegetables and legumes (red kidney beans, lentils, chickpeas, soya beans, adzuki beans, cannellini beans). we do prepare some meat & fish dishes to allow for customers to respectfully make their own choice, while offering healthier alternatives.

Where others use… conventional produce

We prefer

organic produce as much as we possibly can and refrain 100% from using GMOs. In fact we are a self-declared non-GMO Zone and will refuse to do business with any supplier who prefers higher profit from selling unnatural food such as Genetically Modified Organisms

Where others use… Alcohol

We prefer

To match this and go a little step further… all our wines are organic and perfectly accompany your meal or private function.

We prefer

to use freshly squeezed organic lemon juice and organic olive oil organic balsamic dressing.

Where others use… Animal fats and oils, GM-Canola oil (rapeseep oil)

We prefer

Raw virgin coconut oil for cooking, with olive oil and flaxseed oil for cold use - all our oils are cold pressed, organic and GMO-free.

Where others use… Very hot dishes / curries

We prefer

Our dishes to be fresh-feeling and light, we do use a lot of spices (we love spices and strong flavours) however, they are never very spicy to offer you an option to either leave the dish mild or make it hot whenever you feel like it.

We prefer

Where others use… high-yield coffee beans

We prefer

to believe in doing the right thing, this is part of our ethos and permeates through to our coffee as well. We opt for organic and fairly-traded coffee beans where we can be sure the that we have not contributed to exploitation for greater profit.

Where others use… Refined salt

We prefer

We prefer

To screen all the products we use and sell at eliane to help you so you can stay assured there is nothing that comes from poor quality sources. we take exceptional pride in the food we serve and make it our top priority to use only the best suppliers, even if it costs us more.

Where others use… Money-driven motives

We prefer

To have community-driven motives. we are a business so want to make a profit, but our priority is to provide healthy food, warm service and assistance to our community whilst creating jobs locally and providing a safe, happy working environment for our staff.

Where others use… lots and lots of cheese

We prefer

to minimise the use of cheese to improve the integrity of the dishes we serve. we believe we can make any dish taste good without the shortcut of dousing it with unnecessary and unhealthy amounts of cheese.
