Hummus

A nice and simple recipe for a lovely creamy and smooth Hummus that is full of flavour.

This hummus will keep for around 5 days in the fridge and it takes just minutes to prepare it's so simple.

Ingredients:

  • 400g chickpeas, drained
  • 2 tbsp tahini
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • Juice of ½ a lemon
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • A generous crack of pink salt and black pepper

Method: 

  1. Add all the ingredients to a food processor and blitz well. 
  2. If the hummus is too thick or a little lumpy, add a splash of warm water or another tablespoon or two of olive oil until you reach the desired consistency. 
  3. For added flavour, stir 2 tablespoons of roasted pepper harissathrough the hummus, or alternatively, add a tablespoon of caramelised onions to it.
